Vice President Joe Biden has waded diplomatically into the conundrum D.C.-area hockey fans find themselves in, as two stars on the Washington Capitals - Alex Ovechkin and Alexander Semin - are playing for the Russian team in the Vancouver Winter Olympics.
In an interview aired Sunday, David Gregory, the host of NBC's "Meet the Press," asked the vice president what fans like his 7-year-old son should do: root for team Russia or team USA?
"Tell him that -- they chose to live in the United States and work and play for the Capitals," Biden said. "that's what we should focus on."
